This notice explains what personal information Titans Accountancy collects, why we need it, how we keep it safe and the rights you have. We keep it short and in plain English. If anything is unclear, please get in touch.
Who we are
Titans Accountancy is an accountancy practice based in Birmingham, run by Mohamed Ahmed. We are the "controller" of the personal information described here. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration number ZB323986) and supervised for anti-money-laundering by the Institute of Accountants and Bookkeepers.

What we collect
- Contact details: your name, email, phone number and address.
- Identity details: date of birth, nationality, National Insurance number, and copies of your ID and proof of address. The law requires these checks before we can act for you.
- Tax and financial information: your UTR, income, payslips, bank statements, receipts, company details and anything else you send us to prepare your accounts and returns.
- Messages: what you write in our contact form, the new client form, emails and calls.
Why we use it
- To provide our services (our contract with you): preparing and filing your returns and accounts, dealing with HMRC and Companies House, and answering your questions.
- To meet our legal obligations: anti-money-laundering checks under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017, and keeping records that tax law requires.
- To reply to enquiries (our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us). We don't send marketing emails.
Who we share it with
Only where needed to do the work, or where the law requires it:
- HMRC and Companies House, when we file on your behalf.
- Our anti-money-laundering supervisor (the IAB) and, if the law requires, the National Crime Agency.
- Trusted providers who process data for us under contract: Google Workspace (secure document storage, email and our upload pages) and Cloudflare (website hosting). Your data is stored in Google's secure data centres.
We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
We keep client records for six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, and identity checks for five years after our relationship ends, as the law requires. Enquiries that don't lead to us working together are deleted within 12 months.
Keeping it safe
Documents are sent through encrypted upload links and stored in access-controlled folders that only Titans Accountancy can open.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, delete it (where we don't have to keep it by law), restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another adviser. Just email us. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
Our website doesn't use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google to download them. Our secure upload and new client pages are hosted by Google and may use cookies Google needs to make them work securely.
